If you live in Quebec, you sign twice. Quebec sets its own sponsorship and income rules, and you sign a second undertaking with the Government of Quebec on top of the federal one.

Why it's required: The order matters and is easy to get wrong: do not send your undertaking to Quebec until IRCC tells you to. Submit it early and Quebec will not process your application.
